Coastal Cat Clinic is seeking a Full or Part time RVT to work at our feline only hospital in beautiful Pacifica, CA. We are within walking distance from Linda Mar Beach and only 20 to 30 minutes away from San Francisco and many other peninsula cities.
Who we are: We are a one and a half doctor practice that offers a variety of medical services and surgeries. Our hospital is outfitted with the latest equipment including digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, in-house lab machines and a therapeutic laser. We take pride in focusing our attention on our feline companions. However, we do have a "big sister" hospital that sees cats, dogs, and pocket pets. Some of our staff members do work at both locations, and you can as well if you are interested, which provides the opportunity to expand your horizons. Our hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm. We are closed on Sundays.
What we're looking for: A motivated professional to provide exceptional service to clients and patients in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy variety in a workday, be well-spoken, committed to putting the patient and client first, and have excellent attention to detail. We are seeking a driven, enthusiastic individual who enjoys interacting with people just as much as pets. This role requires someone who values the client connection, is comfortable communicating with clients with respect and candor, responds quickly and calmly to any situation, and works efficiently. We believe in the bond between humans and their pets and expect all our staff to share this idea. An ideal candidate has exceptional technical skills, including proficiency in blood draws, catheter placement, feline-friendly restraint, x-ray positioning, surgical monitoring, and dental cleaning and radiology. The ability to multitask and use good judgment is required. The ideal cultural fit is someone with a strong work ethic, personable demeanor, and dedication to teamwork as well as a love for cats. Avimark experience is desirable. RVT license required.
**Must have experience working with cats of all ages, as well as experience with restraint, monitoring anesthesia, and performing dental cleanings on cats. We are in the process of becoming a Certified Cat-Friendly Practice so candidates must be willing to learn feline-friendly handling techniques.
